America's First: Potter's Wax Museum

Potter's Wax Museum in St. Augustine, Florida is America's first wax museum. There are close to 160 different figures and legends from histories past up until the present. Take a picture on the red carpet with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta at the premiere of Faceoff or hobnob with Henry VIII and his six wives.

The only oddity in the collection is the fact that many of the individuals, historically, are out of place. Adolf Hitler is standing two persons over from Marie Antoinette, and a Civil war hero is standing in a lineup with Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Michelangelo.

Besides the fact that wax museums can sometimes be hokey, there were still some surprises. The superstar from the blockbuster hit "Alien" is beyond unnerving and Captain Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean is just about spot on. Not to mention the Mummy and Frankenstein from the original movies in the 1930's have a great likeness. You be the judge!

I LOVE wax museums, absolutely love love them. However their version of Brad Pitt makes me wonder if they perhaps were paid off by Jenn his ex to make him look like a stiff ;-0
